Terms of Use
Please read these Terms of Use carefully and in their entirety before purchasing and using KNOWING Method Live! Online Course (the "Program"). The Program and its content are owned by Dr. Chris Lipat | Mind-Body Energy Medicine.
1. Definitions
"Company," "We," "I," "Our," or "Us" means Dr. Chris Lipat | Mind-Body Energy Medicine.
"Participation," "Participating," "Using," or "Use" means reading, implementing, trying, attending, or otherwise engaging in the Program, including live sessions, recordings, activations, Hot Seat demonstrations, and mentoring.
"Program" means KNOWING Method Live! Online Course, including the 2-Day Intensive, energetic activation/attunement, Module 0: Muscle Testing Primer, KNOWING Method Healing Charts, the e-book KNOWING: The Intuitive's Guide to Transformative Healing, Hot Seat access, one-on-one mentoring, session recordings, and any related materials.
"You," "Your," "User," "Client," or "Participant" means the purchaser and person using the Program.
2. Consent
By participating in the Program, you implicitly and voluntarily agree to act in accordance with, and abide by, these Terms of Use.
3. Nature of the Work
The KNOWING Method is an intuitive self-healing framework developed through ongoing clinical practice. It represents continuously evolving research, observation, and experimentation, drawn from Applied Kinesiology, energy medicine, functional medicine concepts, and traditional healing practices. The interpretation and application of any technique, chart, muscle test, or energetic approach taught in the Program is the sole responsibility of the practitioner using it. The instructor makes no claims and takes no responsibility for the end results of any method used during or subsequent to the Program. All information is presented in the spirit of giving, learning, sharing, and harmony.
4. Eligibility
The Program is intended for participants who are 18 years of age or older. By purchasing or participating in the Program, you represent that you meet this requirement.
5. Disclaimer — Not Medical or Mental Health Advice
By participating in the Program, you understand that Dr. Chris Lipat is a chiropractor and Reiki teacher, certified in Functional Medicine. Dr. Lipat is not a medical doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, or other licensed mental health professional. You are expected to discuss any changes to your health, diet, exercise regimen, or medical care with your physician or another qualified medical professional before making them.
This Program is for informational and educational purposes only. The information and education provided is not intended or implied to supplement or replace professional medical treatment, advice, and/or diagnosis. No part of the KNOWING Method has been evaluated by the FDA or any similar regulatory agency. The KNOWING Method engages with emotional, energetic, and intuitive patterns — it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Although we do our best to keep the Program's content accurate and current, we do not represent that all information is accurate or free of errors at all times. We do not assume responsibility for the accuracy of the Program's information, or its safety or efficacy as it applies to you. Because each body is unique, results may vary, and no particular outcome is promised or guaranteed. You should review any changes to your diet, lifestyle, exercise regimen, or supplement routine with your medical professional.
6. Assumption of Risk & Self-Attestation
Participation in the Program, including muscle testing, energetic activation, somatic practices, and Hot Seat demonstrations, may bring up physical sensations, emotional release, fatigue, or shifts in mood or energy. This is a normal part of energy work but is disclosed here so you can make an informed choice to participate.
By enrolling, you attest that:
1. You are fully aware of your own health issues, both physical and emotional, and you take full personal responsibility for your well-being and participation in the Program.
2. If you have any known injury, condition, or limitation — physical, emotional, or psychiatric — that could be affected by physical positioning, energy work, or emotional processing, you have discussed participation with your physician or licensed provider before enrolling, or you knowingly waive this recommendation at your own risk.
3. You understand the KNOWING Method does not replace professional medical or mental health counseling.
By participating in the Program, you are voluntarily assuming the risk of doing so. We are not responsible or liable for your participation in the Program.
7. No Copying or Sharing of Materials
You will not make copies of, distribute, forward, or share any pages, charts, recordings, or other materials from the Program with anyone else without prior written consent from Dr. Chris Lipat. This includes the KNOWING Method Healing Charts, the e-book, session recordings, and any slides or handouts.
In our password-protected site, you may not share your password or login information with anyone. If you share your password or login with anyone who did not purchase the Program, you will be removed from the Program immediately and no refund will be issued.
8. Intellectual Property Ownership & License Grant
The Program and its content — including but not limited to the 2-Day Intensive; the energetic activation/attunement; Module 0: Muscle Testing Primer; the 6 KNOWING Method Healing Charts; the e-book KNOWING: The Intuitive's Guide to Transformative Healing; Hot Seat demonstrations; one-on-one mentoring; and all recordings, slides, and handouts — are intellectual property owned by Dr. Chris Lipat | Mind-Body Energy Medicine, protected by copyright and, where applicable, trademark law.
"KNOWING Method," "KNOWING Method Live!," and related names and marks are trademarks and service marks of Dr. Chris Lipat | Mind-Body Energy Medicine, whether or not currently federally registered, and are protected under common law trademark rights arising from use in commerce.
License granted to you: Upon purchase, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Program's content for your own personal and professional healing practice with your own clients.
What this license does not permit: This license does not grant you the right to teach, license, resell, publish, or create a derivative course, workshop, or certification program based on the KNOWING Method, its charts, or its proprietary framework, without a separate written agreement with Dr. Chris Lipat. Any such use requires prior written permission.
Any violation of this Section will be pursued to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Confidentiality — Hot Seats & Case Studies
Hot Seat demonstrations may involve the sharing of personal health, emotional, and energetic information in front of the live cohort. By participating in a Hot Seat, either as the subject or as an observer, you agree to hold in confidence any personal information shared by other participants during the Program and not to disclose it outside the cohort.
If you submit a case study for certification purposes involving a person other than yourself (a practice partner or client), you are solely responsible for obtaining that person's informed consent before submitting any identifying details, and for anonymizing the case study appropriately if required by that person's wishes or by applicable law.
10. Recording & Likeness Consent
Live sessions, including Hot Seat demonstrations, may be recorded for the benefit of the cohort and for your future reference. By participating, you consent to being recorded, including your image, voice, and any information you choose to share during a live session or Hot Seat. Recordings are provided to enrolled participants for personal reference only and are subject to the No Copying or Sharing provisions in Section 7.
11. No Claims Made Regarding Results
Any current or past client testimonials, statements, or examples used by us are simply that: examples. They are not guarantees that you will experience or receive the same results. Each person and their circumstances are unique, and nothing shall be interpreted as a guarantee that you will experience the same results as another participant or client.
12. Certification
Upon completion of the live sessions and submission of four (4) documented case studies — no more than two (2) of which may use yourself as the subject — you may be awarded certification as a certified "KNOWING Method Practitioner."
Certification is issued at the sole discretion of Dr. Chris Lipat based on the quality and completeness of your submitted case studies. Certification is not a professional license, does not represent endorsement by any regulatory or licensing body, and does not guarantee any particular level of skill, competence, or outcome for your future clients. Dr. Chris Lipat reserves the right to revoke certification at any time in the event of a violation of these Terms of Use, misuse of the KNOWING Method name or mark, or conduct inconsistent with the spirit of the Program.
13. Disclaimer — No Warranties, Guarantees, or Representations
We do not offer any representations, guarantees, or warranties of any variety regarding the Program. The Program is offered "AS IS" and without representations, guarantees, or warranties of any kind, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, neither express nor implied, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for damages of any kind related to your use of the Program.
14. Your Release of Us, Indemnification, Hold Harmless
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dr. Chris Lipat | Mind-Body Energy Medicine expressly disclaims liability for any direct, indirect, and/or consequential damages suffered by you related to your purchase or use of, or participation in, the Program, its materials, our website, or any other information obtained by you from us.
By participating in and/or purchasing the Program, you agree to release, forgive, forever discharge, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Dr. Chris Lipat | Mind-Body Energy Medicine, and our subsidiaries, employees, agents, contractors, subcontractors, shareholders, directors, officers, coaches, assignees, licensees, and affiliates, from any and all claims, suits, actions, charges, demands, liabilities, damages, judgments, and/or costs — including for any injury or complications whatsoever — related to or arising out of your purchase of or participation in the Program, and/or your breach of any obligation, warranty, covenant, or representation set forth in these Terms of Use.
15. Refund Policy — No Refunds
We will do everything within our ability, and within reason, to ensure your satisfaction. Due to the nature of the Program's content and access, refunds will not be issued once the Program is purchased. 16. No Chargebacks
You will not, under any circumstances, issue or threaten to issue any chargeback to the Company or to your credit card or other form of payment for any reason related to the Program. In the event of a chargeback, the Company reserves the right to report it to the credit bureaus as a delinquent account.
17. Payment, Purchase, and Payment Plan Terms
General Payment Terms: When you pay for the Program by credit card, you authorize Dr. Chris Lipat | Mind-Body Energy Medicine to charge your card for the amount owed. Your payment information may be collected by a third-party merchant (such as Shopify, Square, Acuity, or PayPal, depending on the method selected at checkout), which may have privacy or security practices different from ours. We are not responsible for the merchant's independent policies or practices.
Payment Plan Terms: If you choose a payment plan option at checkout, you consent to having your card automatically charged according to the installment schedule presented to you at the time of purchase. You authorize Dr. Chris Lipat | Mind-Body Energy Medicine to charge each installment automatically, without seeking additional authorization from you before each charge. By choosing a payment plan, you agree that all installments are owed in full, with no exceptions, and that no refund requests or stop-payment requests will be granted or accepted.
Failed Payment Procedures: If a payment-plan installment fails, you will be given a grace period (as communicated to you at enrollment) to update your payment method before your access to the Program is suspended. Continued failure to pay may result in permanent removal from the Program without refund, and the matter may be referred to collections.
18. Force Majeure & Technical Interruptions
We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to internet or platform outages, illness, or other emergencies. In such an event, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the affected session or provide a recording in its place. Recordings are provided as the primary remedy for any missed live session, regardless of cause.
19. Severability
The provisions of these Terms of Use are severable. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any section, subsection, sentence, or clause is adjudged illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, that determination shall have no effect on the Terms of Use as a whole or on any other section, subsection, sentence, or clause not expressly so adjudged.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Use contain the entire agreement between you and the Company. There are no other promises or conditions in any other agreement, oral or written, between you and the Company.
21. Applicable Law & Venue
These Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws of the State of Hawaiʻi. Any action brought by any party arising out of or from these Terms shall be brought within Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.
22. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms of Use shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. No waiver of any provision shall be effective unless made in writing and signed by Dr. Chris Lipat.
23. Arbitration Clause
If you have any complaint or should any issue arise in your use of the Program, please contact us directly first by emailing Dr. Chris Lipat at enlighten@drchrislipat.com.
If we are unable to amicably resolve your dispute in that manner, you agree that you and Dr. Chris Lipat | Mind-Body Energy Medicine shall submit your dispute to binding arbitration with the American Arbitration Association, before a mutually agreed-upon arbitrator, in accordance with the AAA's rules.
By agreeing to this term, you understand you are waiving your right to a jury trial in court, which would otherwise be available to you absent this Arbitration Clause. Any arbitration hearing shall be held within 50 miles of Honolulu, HI.
If the arbitrator issues an award and judgment is made, the judgment will be binding and entered in court in the State of Hawaiʻi. The only award that can be issued to you is a refund of any payment made to Dr. Chris Lipat | Mind-Body Energy Medicine for the applicable Program. You are not permitted to seek additional damages, including consequential or punitive damages.
24. Limitation of Liability
Dr. Chris Lipat | Mind-Body Energy Medicine is not responsible or liable in any way for any and all damages you receive, directly or indirectly, from your participation in the Program. We do not assume liability for damages, injuries, harm, or misuse of (or failure to properly use) the Program or its content, due to any act or failure to act by you. IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
By purchasing and/or participating in the Program, you signify your agreement to all terms in these Terms of Use.
