Reiki was a great entry for Dr. Chris Lipat, DC into the realm of energy healing, which eventually led them to create their advanced healing arts Mind-Body Energy Medicine practice. Reiki is a wonderful way to contribute to another's journey towards health and wholeness. It's the gift that keeps on giving. Learning reiki transforms your relationship with your body, your mind, your spirit. It causes you to be with your friends and family in a whole new way, if you're ready and willing.
Dr. Chris Lipat, DC has been a White Light Reiki and Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher since 2004.
Dr. Lipat is a holistic chiropractor and has been practicing Mind-Body Energy Medicine since 2011. Dr. Lipat is also a certified Magaanito and Sibulan Adlaw Tala Mystic Oracle Practitioner from the Hilot Academy of Binabaylan. Dr. Lipat began their holistic healing journey with taking their first Reiki class in 2002, volunteering for 3 years as a Reiki practitioner at Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Care Clinic for low-income women with cancer in Oakland, CA. Dr. Lipat's spiritual healing path eventually led them to become a chiropractor. Dr. Lipat incorporates reiki into their truly integrative Mind-Body Energy Medicine practice.
Dr. Lipat's Reiki Master is Maria Socorro Laya Smith based in NYC and traces their lineage to Jim Davis (founder of White Light Reiki) < Arthur Robertson < Iris Ishikuro < Hawayo Takata < Dr. Chujiro Hayashi < Sensei Mikao Usui.
Dr. Lipat is a White Light Reiki Master and has been a registered Karuna Reiki® Master from the International Center for Reiki Training since 2004. As of December 2023, Dr. Lipat has given over 415 attunements and initiated 16 White Light Reiki Masters and 15 Karuna Reiki® Masters (see this list of Reiki Masters attuned by Dr. Chris Lipat who are currently practicing energy work). Dr. Lipat adds training on muscle testing and other tips to maximize your intuitive abilities, whether you seek to focus only on healing yourself or your family, or if you are a professional practitioner expanding your skills in the healing arts. White Light Reiki has 4 levels. The Expert Level 3 plus the Master/Teaching Level 4. In addition, in this line, it is required for you to become a Karuna Reiki® Master (4 additional levels) prior to becoming a White Light Reiki Master Teacher. A White Light Reiki Master Teacher in this line will have undergone 8 levels of attunement!

By Reiki 2, you are empowered to use the distance symbol, where you can send Reiki to friends, family and even your plants and pets no matter where they are. You can also send Reiki to relationships, job interviews, meetings, or wherever you need to help things to happen for the highest good.

Karuna Reiki® is the next level after White Light Reiki 3 Expert Level. Karuna Reiki® was founded by teachers at The International Center for Reiki Training and their manuals are used for the classes. Because the energies are stronger and potential for healing greater, Karuna Reiki® is only taught to people who have been attuned to and practicing at White Light Expert Level 3 or any Reiki Level 3. If you cannot make the following dates, please inform me of your interest and availability and I may shift dates to accommodate the most students available.
There are two levels plus a master teaching level in Karuna Reiki®. Karuna Reiki® 1 and 2 are practitioner levels. Those who go on to take the Karuna Reiki® master class can order manuals from the International Center for Reiki Training, and the Karuna Reiki® master level is required if your goal is to become a White Light Reiki master that can eventually attune other White Light Reiki masters.
I teach Karuna Reiki® Master level in a follow up weekend on the same day as the White Light Reiki Master level training. White Light Reiki Masters in my line, from Maria Socorro Laya Smith, are powerful because of their experience, training and additional attunement to Karuna Reiki® energies.

White Light Reiki masters in my line from Maria Socorro Laya Smith are powerful because of their experience, training and additional attunements to Karuna Reiki® energies.
Although Karuna Reiki® master training is not required to be attuned to White Light Reiki master level (Karuna Reiki Practitioner Levels 1 & 2 is required), it is required if you want to attune other White Light Reiki masters. Otherwise, without the Karuna Reiki® master attunement, as a White Light Reiki master, you are only able to attune students up to White Light Expert Level (Level 3). That is why I schedule the Karuna Reiki® master and White Light Reiki master classes on the same day.
The KNOWING Method, an intuitive meta healing framework, developed by Dr. Chris Lipat, which complements any mind-body energy practice, will be discussed. It is highly recommended that you read this short e-book prior to the class.

Karuna Reiki® Level 1&2 Practitioner + White Light Reiki 1, 2 & 3. Please E-mail Dr. Chris Lipat at reiki@drchrislipat.com with your qualifications. You must have at least 1 session with Dr. Chris Lipat prior to this class, though at least 3 sessions are recommended throughout your Reiki training journey to support your ability to channel the increasingly high vibrational Reiki energies.

Preparation for your Reiki Class Attunement
To begin the week before class — these points are suggested but not required:
- Eat healthy food (if you eat meat, choose the no-hormone kind) and abstain from or decrease caffeine (including chocolate) and any unnecessary medications. Alcohol consumption should also be avoided. These create imbalances in the nervous and endocrine systems.
- Minimize caffeine on the day of the class.
- If you smoke, cut back a few days before and minimize smoking on the day of the class.
- If you practice meditation regularly, practice meditation days before your class.
- Consider seeing Dr. Lipat, Nic Santos or other mind-body energy work practitioners prior to class to align and prepare your body for receiving and/or integrating each high vibrational reiki energy attunement.
